My old friends, Rosario and Lella, chose the beautiful Villa Eliana as the venue for their wedding. The villa is a fascinating example of contemporary architecture, built in the 1960’s by Neapolitan ship-owner Achille Lauro and dedicated to his wife Eliana. Villa Eliana sits in a very privileged position, just a short distance from the centre of Sorrento, on the hilly part of the town, and just a a few steps away from the nearby town of Massa Lubrense.
On this occasion my work was mixed with a very strong sense of affection, making it a very exciting day for me! The various events of the day: the church ceremony, the arrival at the Villa, the aperitifs served at the edge of the pool, the wedding lunch, flourished in the pleasant heat and sunshine of a typically balmy August day on the Sorrento coast. Then came the unveiling of the photo booth and the trepidatious approach of the first shy but curious adventurers … and then, as always, a steady stream of friends, cousins, aunts and uncles and various other relatives joined in with what were two hours of pure fun .. thanks guys for a wonderful day!
